  • Sancy cable car (1300 - 1750 m).
    In winter, the cable car is one of the main lifts for alpine skiers.
  • Capucin funicular railway
    This is the oldest funicular in France (more than a hundred years old) and a listed monument.

Waterfalls / Lakes

  • The Grande Cascade: a spectacular 32 m high waterfall
  • Cascade de la Dore: at the foot of the Sancy massif
  • Lac du Guery: this 25-hectare lake is the highest lake in the Auvergne (1,244 m altitude).
  • Lac Chambon: a lake situated at an altitude of 870 m, with a surface area of 60 hectares. Swimming, fishing, water sports. Hiking trail around the lake.
  • Lac Pavin: a crater lake surrounded by forests. Walking circuit around the lake. Fishing.
  • Lac de Servières: a crater lake at an altitude of 1200 metres (Cézallier).
